About Us

Welcome to DevStreamsm!  DevStreamsm is an ambitious and forward-thinkingSabre owned and managed online networking community forum designed for users of application development tools developed and enabled by Sabre.  Our mission, simply stated, involves:

  • Providing our customers a convenient, easy and practical way to share information
  • Enabling a forum for collaboration of ideas across users of Sabre’s application development technology
  • Discovering common interests

The DevStream™ community of developer tools includes:

  • Sabre Web Services
  • Sabre Emulator API
  • Sabre Scribe
  • Qik Developer
  • Sabre Red App Developer Toolkit

Our objective is to enable you to effectively communicate with other DevStream™ members, all of which are users of developer tools, based all around the world in order to share ideas, collaborate on best practices, and inspire and motivate others in our community to do the same.  Used effectively DevStream can help people help each other.

DevStream™ has four primary areas of functionality:

  1. A robust user profile lookup
  2. A brilliant question & answer tool
  3. Self exploration tags
  4. Groups

People with similar interests or expertise can search on tags based on their activity within the community. We believe this will create a unique social network inside the developer tools user community of developers that connects everyone through common interests and shared experiences.  For example, a group will be set up for Sabre Web Services customers to share ideas and network on their topics of interest.  You will also see in the future new groups for the other tools.

Members who desire ongoing conversations with their peers around specific tools and topics can create their own groups ranging in focus from the highly specific (e.g, a way of performing a function) to the general (e.g., how to manage versions). Group topics are limited only by the imaginations and interests of DevStream™ members.

How should you use this online forum to facilitate and enable your everyday work environment?  What can you do with it?  The possibilities are likely limitless, but here are some initial suggestions:

  • Use it to quickly find people that might be working on a special project like yours on which you may want to ask a question about how to use or implement a function.
  • Leave a ‘sticky note’ for others.
  • Build up a robust profile as the relevance engine can automatically match attributes as questions are posted.
  • Let others know about interesting and useful articles or books you just read.
  • Share your interests.
